Garden clearance for overgrown gardens

If the garden has got completely away from you, we'll clear it back to a blank, usable space, and give you a clear idea of what it'll take before we start.

When the garden's become a jungle

It happens easily: a busy couple of years, a new home with a neglected garden, a rental property after a long tenancy, or a family home being prepared for sale.

Brambles, ivy, long grass, self-seeded trees and old shrubs take over until you can't see, or use, the space.

How we help

A garden clearance strips back the overgrowth so you can see what you're working with. We cut down brambles, long grass and unwanted shrubs, remove small self-seeded trees, and clear the green waste.

From there, you might want regular maintenance, a new lawn, or nothing more than a garden you can actually walk out into.

Before we start

Safety, access and permissions

Every site is different. These are the things that shape how a job is done — and what it costs.

  • Overgrown gardens can hide hazards: broken glass, old fencing wire, uneven ground or sharp objects. Let us know about anything you're aware of.
  • General household rubbish, rubble and hazardous materials are not green waste and need separate disposal.
  • Green waste: Whether green waste is taken away, chipped on site or left neatly for your brown bin depends on the job. We'll set this out clearly in your quote so there are no surprises.

The process

How the job works

  1. Step 1: Photos or a visit

Clearances vary a lot, so photos of the whole space really help.

  2. Step 2: Clear quote

We confirm what's being cleared, what's staying, and how waste is handled.

  3. Step 3: Clearance

The garden is cut back and cleared section by section.

  4. Step 4: Usable space

The area is raked and left tidy, ready for whatever's next.

FAQs

Garden clearance: common questions

How long does a garden clearance take?

A small, overgrown back garden can often be cleared in a day. Bigger or very dense gardens take longer. We'll give you an honest estimate with your quote.

Can you keep certain plants or trees?

Of course. Just point out anything you'd like to keep, and we'll work around it.

Do I need a skip?

Not necessarily. It depends on how waste is handled for your job. We'll explain the options in your quote so you don't hire a skip you don't need.
